After speaking with the event coordinators, it seems like the target audience will be the students & faculty of Appalachian State. I feel that will open up more doors for me, design wise, because I have a more precise audience.  

 

In my initial sketches I really wanted to play around with line, shape, and color. I now want to re-do the logo and make it a lot more simple than it is. After playing around with the poster, I feel like I've finally cracked open my brain a bit and can be a bit more creative with the logo.
